What makes Out Yonder Excursions different?
Out Yonder Excursions specializes in small group trips to remote, quiet parts of the estuary away from the busy beaches and hustle and bustle of the Charleston harbor to places that only the locals know about. We are dedicated to showcasing the natural beauty and ecological importance of Charleston's tidal salt marshes from a Local’s perspective with a lesson on the culture and history of the area.
With a focus on educating our guests, we provide truly unique experiences that foster a deeper appreciation for our environment in quiet, natural areas that are well worth the journey.
This is not your typical harbor cruise or big boat trip with a few dozen strangers, we provide an intimate setting to get away from the crowds and see the REAL Lowcountry.

Our Excursions
FAQs
What should I bring on a tour?
We recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, a camera, clothing for the weather and a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated during your adventure.
Do we need a fishing license?
No, you do not! We take care of all required licensing for our oyster picking, crabbing and fishing excursions.
Is there a restroom?
No, we recommend hitting a restroom before meeting up with us. Our boat is small and we operate out of public boat ramps without facilities so we can access remote places and fit in the nooks and crannies of the marsh.
What wildlife can we expect to see?
Our tours offer chances to see a variety of wildlife, including dolphins, birds, fish, crabs and other marine life native to the marsh.
Can we bring our dog?
Well behaved dogs are certainly welcome on our private tours, however we ask you leave your pets home for our public excursions.
How many other people will there be?
We specialize in small group experiences of up to 6 passengers. We do not cram 40 or 50 people together on a boat for a big busy group tour.
